Not entirely correct there...they have many in-class courses and degrees. University of Phoenix is legit.

Re: *Myles Young's Departure from the UPC*
Do forgive me if I assumed that the mentioned law school was accredited It was personal oversight that if and of course the sign out front says law school it is in fact and case in point law school.
As to the university of Pheonix it was specifically defined as prestigous. Are you saying that this is not entirely correct? <puzzled look> Or is the online degree incorrect? Because as stated you do not HAVE to leave the comfort of home but in no way was it implied or meant to be implied that you COULD not.
Thank you for the opportunity to clarify

one example of a CA law school that does not require an undergrad:

Well accredited or not one who completes their studies are eligible to sit for the bar, not a real high prospect of passing but it happens.
I am not saying that was the case just pointing out your claims where a bit to broad.

Re: *Myles Young's Departure from the UPC*
Broad claims offered as answer to what is believed to be broader ones.
In the meantime since the studies were not completed we will never know will we? Case is moot but look at the missed chance to be really special!

Re: *Myles Young's Departure from the UPC*
I can assure everyone that Myles Young is NOT conservative. We're originally from Baton Rouge and were members of First UPC of Baton Rouge, long before Myles' dad, Rev. Curtis Young assumed pastorate of the church; that was 1972. Myles and his brother, Monte, as he grew older, were FREQUENT guests in our home, were they 'thoroughly' enjoyed watching our TV. One of our parents was NOT 'in the church'; therefore, we had a TV. This practice by both Myles and Monte, continued well after both graduated from high school. We were sworn to secrecy to not let their dad know, being the unrealistic and very controlling affect he had over his family and his parishioners. Sadly, this behavior by most Pentecostal clergy is considered acceptable; however, dysfunctional as it is. For most Pentecostal PK's (preacher's kids), it's a life of double standards. Therefore, it's NO surprise to me that Myles met and married Rev. Nathaniel Wilson's daughter, Sheliah. Rev. Wilson was ,and still is, as controlling as Myles' dad over his congregation. The difference between Louisiana Pentecostals and California Pentecostals is different. Louisiana Pentecostals have had ENOUGH of 'being controlled' and California Pentecistals are still learning this inappropriate clergy behavior. There are exceptions here, though. So, I'm quite certain that the lure of one day inheriting a successful Pentecostal church with a well known pastor within all of the Pentecostal organizations, was stronger than Myles' more liberal convictions. Myles is a good guy but knowing him since his father became pastor of the First UPC of Baton Rouge, I doubt his extreme conservative convictions are genuine. I'm sure it's more of the 'double standard' that he grew up with. I wouldn't be surprised if Myles is passing the same behavior on to his own children. Of course with Rev. Wilson still 'in charge', it can be assumed it will be business as usual. I'm an original Louisiana Cajun and I call it as I see it! Keeping it 100% real....

Re: *Myles Young's Departure from the UPC*
I wouldn't qualify TV viewing as "liberal". As the discussion in another topic debated, there's worse stuff on the internet than on TV. And as Truthseeker said, maybe he's changed over the years.
I, myself, grew up with TV because my dad isn't in the church, but for the past 8 years I haven't had a single television. Technically I do own one, but it's only used as a monitor for my computer.
I don't know anything about Myles Young, I'm just offering an opinion.

Re: *Myles Young's Departure from the UPC*
The part that really cracks me up is the comparison of Louisiana and California pentecostals.
Really????
If you want me to, I can tell you plenty of stories about the uncontrollable Louisiana Pentecostals!!
(Before any of my Louisiana friends get too unhappy, I can tell stories about others as well).
Any time you start making broad comparisons, such as this, you have problems...
