Thanks for the link Mizpeh. I've read Boyd's book "The Myth of the Christian Nation" in which he discusses this. A very good message! The conclusion I draw from it, is to not expect the perfect government to be elected and utopia to be legislated into existence; but to emulate Jesus in establishing his kingdom based on the kingdom principles. After all the kingdoms of the world will not last and a social gospel will not usher in the Kingdom of God.
