Worship is literally "obeisance" and means THE ACT of falling down in prostration and bowing before another as a sign of submission. It becomes a metaphor when applied to a lifestyle of obedience and submission.
So yes worship is something we do both individually and corporately in the assembly. It is BY ANALOGY descriptive of our life if we live in obedience to God ("serve God").

I am thinking of using the golden calf....lots of noise...lots of shouting...but the wrong kind of noise to the wrong kind of god....
am open for thoughts....it is another youth camp...

The ark being taken by Hophni and Phineas with lots of shouting that the ground shook, and Philistines feared, but an empty shout that saw the ark stolen anyway. Because they weren't living right and worship does not cover that over.
