This is where research pays off, instead of just taking a headline or talking point and running with it.
Various administrations handle illegal immigration differently. Bush was far more liberal on immigration than what I was comfortable with. It was no secret he wanted a more open border with Mexico. He also handled illegals differently. Instead of putting a mark on their permanent record, his admin simply loaded up the buses and sent them back across the border. This was labeled as a "return" and not a "removal."
In W's admin, there were over 8.3 million returns and 2 million removals.

What the left does is use obama's high "removal" numbers to say, "Hey, he's done more than Bush!" Yet they ignore the "returns" category which shows obama's true numbers are FAR less than W's.
And with obama openly discussing the idea of halting deportations, his numbers will fall even more in comparison to W's.
