I know several Greek professors...won one to the Lord in Brazil and he pastors a church...Greek does not scare me I studied it a year...wish I could have studied longer but my time does not permit...I love foreign languages....

A good book on women in the ministry was Sister Tolestead's book but I do not know if it is in print...The UPCI might have someone that knows.

Ummm, apparently you did not study enough - your (& "Dr." Scheel's) handling of the Greek text is absolutely horrid.

Good - I'll be glad to get it & critique it (trust me, I'm sure I know what is already in there)  !
Besides, I once read another Book that was entirely & clearly opposed to it - I think they call it the "Bible" !

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Ephesians 4
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Seems like such an easy scripture for us to forget. I have to revisit Ephesians 4..and am convicted almost everytime I read it.
