And my evaluation of the continued repeat responses of our self anointed and self appointed Greek scholar stands true: he has a doctrine that is very important to him, has searched out a scripture or two that might be made to support that doctrine to the exclusion of what the rest of scripture says about the subject (through the fallacy that some scriptures are more authoritative than others, my Bible tells me all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and that no prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation), and now he continuously insists that all other scripture be forced to agree with this doctrine or else it must be argued away, often with personal slurs against those who cannot see the scriptures through his filter.
I will say that I believe this is the first time I have been called an ultra liberal feminist, and this is actually humorous for anybody who knows me can testify that I am no such individual.
Thank you for the interaction, my brother Pharisee. It makes me thankful once again for God's amazing grace and mercy to me that He saw fit to shine the light of truth into my world of man made traditions, the 'holiness' culture in which I was raised.
So you just keep on enslaving, er, I mean, 'encouraging' the folks still living under the yoke of the commandments of men: it is your livelihood and a source of great self satisfaction for you. I will be busy doing my part to fulfill the true purpose of the church, as found in Matthew 28:18-20.

rdp...thanks for prayers...my issues are only my health...however we aall wear out...The mission field has taken it's toil on my body...Not only have I preached to thousands, my work has included digging foundations by hand, building churchs from the ground up,mixing cement by hand tools for years and years...laying bricks, going to the far hidden interior places and roughing it and doing without many needed things...However if I had it all to do over I would gladly give again. Last night I watched 48 of my Bible students pass a very hard test. Just to see them so happy was worth it all! Today a few that were working will come by and take their tests. How awesome it is to be a part of God's eternal plan.
My dear friend it does not even matter matter to me in the light of eternity how you or your peers feel about me. I must please Him that called me when I was barely 8 years old...I have never lost the wonder that He called a little green eyed, stringy haired girl to the mission field....While my father lay drunk in the next room and my sweet mother was asleep He chose to com in my bedroom and wake me up....I will never forget... That was over 55 years ago...I have had lots of slaps by people that say cutting things about women but I will never forget the look in His eyes when He told me He called and as I lay weeping in His presence I have never forgotten the feeling of His hand on mine and Him saying, Go and I will go with you...
Yes, it has been hard...especially the first 4 years on the mission field...but I have a giant of a man by me that leads the way and that is my dear husband...he has never hindered me but encouraged me all the way to obey Him that called. We have worked together like Priscilla and Aquila of long ago...

Not that I agree with everything RDP has posted, but Sis. Alvear's argument adds much to scripture. She claims Phebe and other women were preaching next to Paul, even though scripture says no such thing. I have yet to see anything which proves her point about the women of the early church. It's just not there. All which has been given is personal conjecture, speculation, wishful fancy. Nothing proven by scripture.

BUT...I'm sure this will continue on another 50 pages, and perhaps there's something which hasn't been argued ( ) which could clear up the roles of the women in the early church.

For now, I'm fine with women teaching or preaching (my favorite is Vesta Mangun), but I do not believe any women should be a Pastor, or in any leadership position which places here above other men.

I agree with you. They should not pastor a church, that's just plain feminism creeping into the body of Christ. And we know where that comes from, don't we?

But teaching and preaching should be fine.
Hmm…that makes them a pastor too….ah well..

So…anyone being saved under the ministry of a female is not saved because
female preachers is not biblical. If not biblical it must be from the enemy…
