Re: Old hymns by apostolic pioneers
Actually it was.
William E. Booth Clibborn was with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World in the 1920s and 30s.

Re: Old hymns by apostolic pioneers
William E. Booth Clibborn was always an independent Pentecostal pioneer. He preached revivals all over the world in all kinds of Pentecostal churches. He did preach revivals at some early Oneness Pentecostal (PAW) churches and was baptised in Jesus name. He later separated himself from associations with Oneness churches.

I believe that's one of them. I'm looking for all the words to the songs I listed (plus anymore that anyone knows of, that aren't in the Sing Unto the Lord songbook.
Was that the chorus? Or the whole song?
Anyone have the music? Or links to the songs being performed?
Brother Epley, can you post the words and music to that (and any other) song?

Regardless of how he ended up, he was Apostolic/Oneness/Pentecostal at one time.

That is the only portion of the song I know. Back in the day, The Singing Parkers used this on an LP...wish I still had it.

If preaching in Oneness churches makes you Oneness, then OK. Can anyone show where he preached or wrote advocating the Oneness doctrine? The words of the song could be interpreted as Oneness, but the song was sung in Trinitarian churches, too.

Yes, it was. And how many Apostolic churches sing songs that mention the Son separate from the Father?
Let's not nit pick over this...
I believe the man was Oneness and you do not...and the point is? God will sort it out in the end.

I believe he was baptised in Jesus name not too long after he got the Holy Ghost.
Every online resource I can find states he was Oneness, and then later on left. Not that he just 'preached in Oneness churches'.

So began the experience of faith that led William Booth-Clibborn into an anointed ministry. He was later baptized in Jesus’ Name and proclaimed the great truth of the Oneness of God, joining the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. Disillusioned with some of the later fragmentation of the Pentecostal movement, Booth-Clibborn eventually became less organizationally exclusive but maintained his Oneness stand, developing a remarkable Pentecostal ministry throughout his life. He founded several churches and led Immanuel Temple in Portland, Oregon until his death in 1969 at the age of seventy-six.
*Special thanks to Pat Clibborn, daughter-in-law of W.E. Clibborn, for granting an interview for this article.
