2013, a year of big trouble: Bring in Rick Perry
2013, a year of big trouble: Bring in Rick Perry
01/16/13
And I am pretty sure I know where crisis will occur: Texas. And for the same reason crisis came to Boston in 1773, the year of the Boston Tea Party. Because in 1773, Boston was the most prosperous city in the colonies. Today Texas is the most prosperous place in America. It has worked hard for it and it will want to hold on to it. And that is why America needs Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R).
I see only Perry now has the good nature and know-how to challenge without bringing a dark cast to the issues.
History at the turning always comes down to one person: Bismarck, Nelson, Jefferson, Victoria. This could be such a turning. Rick Perry’s Texas has been the strongest defender of the faith and the Constitution. Draft Rick Perry.

Rick Perry's heart was obviously not in running for President. I think he knew that, considering his strong views on a very limited Federal government, that it would be nearly impossible for him to govern effectively without compromising those principles. I think he sensed that Texas would need him in the near future. As the crisis deepens, I expect him to take a very defiant stand, and to start being seen as the defacto President by many.

I think his heart was in it, but his back surgery affected him greatly. But, what you wrote in bold is spot on. It was the thing I feared would happen if he were to win. He doesn't get the kind of opposition in Texas that he would in Washington.
You are again right, Texas needs him and as this crises deepens, he will be taking a more defiant stand and start to be seen as the defacto President by many.

When I leave this wasteland of New Mexico I have been looking at Texas as a possible option to move to, that and South Carolina.

At least he wasn't mentored by a communist or started his political career in the living room of a convicted terrorist. At least he understands the original intent of the Framers as it relates to the limited role of the Federal Government.
