I'm not an expert on the subject but I perceive that it centers around the definition of marriage. Is marriage the commitment of 2 loving individuals or only between a man and a woman? If a gay couple is gay by nature or nurture? If by nature, then why wouldn't they be allowed to enter the same commitment as a heterosexual couple with the same benefits such as taxes, visitation, etc.? also, what is the difference between a heterosexual commitment and a gay one?
