Re: Unplugging My Personal Computer
I just put my old computer in the closet...........
...because it's been replaced by a smokin black, searing hot, "straight from the pit of hell", mad over-clockable monster sporting the latest from ASUS and Intel!
Still a few tiny glitches to work out though.

You do know it's wrong to make others covet don't you?

And this system is something I have waited my whole life for (and will be REALLY happy once I get all the kinks ironed out). It is the first computer I ever owned or built where I didn't cut every single corner. I DID cut a few, just not as many as usual. LOL

We converted a bunch of our old laptops at work which are all on their last legs to Ubuntu (from XP). It seems to have given them a jolt of new life.

Re: Unplugging My Personal Computer
RandyWayne,...
Where did you get that awsome computer??????
I had the Good Lord,...just recently drop me one "out-of-the-blue" to add to my collection recently.
OK,...so I live in an apartment complex that just so happens to face the trash dump. I looked out veeeeerrrry early the other morning to see that someone (bless their soul) left a P4 computer and monitor nicely placed in front of the dumpster. Meself went and snatched. So far the monitor is working fine. Computer needs a little work. Just adds to my about 5 or 6 older computers as is. I run mostly Linux on 'em. (LOL)!

Need any working copies of XP? I have been saving quite a few of the serial numbers on our old XP laptops we've been throwing away or installing Ubuntu on. I put Win 7 Pro (had to use Pro since it recognizes all 32 gigs -Home Premium only goes up to 16).
