'Hmm, "right" and "wrong" kind of become
irrelevant, too; but yes. This is not to say that
a colonoscopy is "wrong," necessarily,
but see how it has been made "right,"
by subterfuge. Healthy people, who "go"
5 times a day, have no need of one.
While it might be difficult to initially see
how this might relate to your spiritual growth,
your pov, if you have one, becomes a filter
through which any future info must pass;
physical or spiritual, and so comparisons can be made.
A bit closer to home, for many, might be
your blood type. Do you know your blood type?
Most people don't--let alone how blood types
evolved, and the reason for each--and yet,
it is your blood type.
Is it being obscured from you?
Of course I don't know my blood type. Bell's theorem won't let me.

Hmm, actually, it is also being obscured from you, with your permission...a blood type strip used to be available from the drugstore for like $6, but no more. You could always ask your Dr. (lol) I'd be curious to know what he tells you--but more importantly is what this lack of what can only be described as critical, if mundane, info about yourself might tell you.

Yeah. I know. In fact, I've probably been told what it is, and forgot. How does that fit into your analogy?

Lol. The best answer I could give you, after sleeping on it, is that God
understands that, and will just raise up a generation that will not forget!
Blood type being an analogy.
Actually, maybe I do get what you're saying. Kinda. Are you saying, with this example, that there is a right way and a wrong way to find out certain things, and a colonoscopy is the wrong way, and knowing the warning signs that your colon gives you is the right way? And the analogy is that there is a right way and a wrong way to learn spiritual truths? That's where I get lost, though. Really not sure what you think the right and wrong ways are. Unless "discernment" is the right way? And the wrong way is..... uh..... I dunno, maybe listening to people? Yeah, that's it! I think! Do I win?
The one is guaranteed to detect sickness;
the other is guaranteed to keep you healthy.
