Re: Mr President What Is The Plan to Pay Off Our D
Jermyn, the Democrats controlled the executive and legislative branches for two years and no budgets were passed in that time. The House has passed several budgets with the Democrat controlled Senate refusing to take it ant further. They won't even negotiate with the House. The problem right now is the White House and the Senate. They aren't interested in any fiscal responsibility. The president paid for and appointed a bi partisan commission to come up with a plan (Simpson-Bowles) and he didn't embrace or act upon a single recommendation. The president is our leader. He has the bully pulpit, he sets the agenda. He has chosen to lead from behind.

The House, dominated by a group of Tea Partiers that wanted to make a name for themselves, presented a budget and when it came time to attempt to compromise between what the House came up with and what the Seante came up with, the House refused to compromise on anything.
Sure the House came up with something, but the HOUSE and SENATE together is responsible for coming up with a budget to present to the President.
Sure if you want one person to blame, blame the President-- the buck stops with him.
Still, you and I both know at the end of the day that the House and the Senate fail our country whenever they fail to work together.
The BUDGET comes from Congress.

He wanted to rein in Freddie & Fannie, but the Demo's would have none of it!!! And in doing so the Demo's nearly brought down the global economy. This fact is so overlooked it is unbelievable. DENIAL is DC's mode of operation.
Can you imagine hiring Barney to oversee your finances???

It's much more difficult to see that spending over the last 10 years in this country has more than become "out-of-control."
It didn't start with President Obama, but he doesn't have a real plan to fix it either.
It apears "NO ONE" does.
Our GOP House and Democrat Senate has FAILED us again!
The President can't sign a budget unless it comes through their grubby paws first!
It looks to me that the knuckleheads in the House are simply content with making the President look bad.
Helping the country by coming up with a sensible budget that reflects the concerns of the entire country while doing what must be done to save the country does not appear to be a major concern for ANYONE in Congress today.

With all due respect, Jeremy, the House has sent budget after budget to the Senate, but the Senate leader just announces that they are DOA! They do not want to act on the House's recommendations because it would help the Republican in 2012. I know the Reps, do it too, but the House's plans have actually addressed the problems with spending, the Demo's though in the majority have not had a budget since BO has been in office???? They are just floating bandaids and stop gap measures, and the House want to treat the whole sick economy.
I'm not sure the American people are really willing to take on the difficult measures that will be required to make corrections, UNTIL IT ALL CRASHES, and the will be no choice.
