Re: Royal Tailor Band

This sort of music isn't my style, but if I pastored a church,I would have it and let the young folks express themselves,we've been so concerned about preserving church culture and tradition we have lost many young people.

Re: Royal Tailor Band

David danced before The Lord,it would be better for young people to dance in church and for The Lord rather than in a club or at a drug party. But what people can't control, they want to stomp out.

Re: Royal Tailor Band

Scott, I wanted to thank you for the link to Bro. Ensey's blog. I enjoyed it a lot. I am planning on rereading again as I was up all night looking at it. I did not find him to be extreme or controversial in either his content or tone. The only point that I ever disagreed with him on was when he discussed KJV vs modern versions. I am not KJV exclusive, but I am KJV primary. I really appreciated the link and will be visiting it again.

When I read words like the highlighted, I often think to myself, could that be because, you are also extreme or controversial in tone.

NOT just you Jay, I'm just saying this is often the case.

When OJ was declared not guilty, the majority of cheers, for that verdict, came from "his crowd" They could not see him as "extreme or controversial.

Re: Royal Tailor Band

If you are saying that I am conservative, like Bro. Ensey is, I would be complemented (I never heard any of the OJ crowd say that, but then 99.9% of thge people thought that he was guilty).

Wouldn't you rather be complimented?

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
