Some "older" pictures
These are some "older" pictures of a time when teaching was not done from an iPod or with Power Point or Key Note.

Re: Some "older" pictures
That last picture was Bro. Frank Curts. He was pastor of First Apostolic Church in Cincinnati, OH when I was going there from early summer 1957 until some time in 1963/64 when we started going to an ALJC church. He was Dist. Supt. for the Ohio District of the UPC for many years and was known as a Bible teacher. He had several large charts he taught from on Thursday nights when we had Bible Study. The charts were taken from stuff in Dispensational Truth by Larkin and a Seventh Day Adventist book whose title I can't remember. He sat under Bishop G.T. Haywood when he was a young minister. Later he pastored in Indiana and then came to Cincinnati in 1920 or 1925 (don't remember which). At that time he took over as pastor a group of 13 people who had split off another church. He remained with that church through growth, name changes, organizational changes, and location changes until he died in 1969. I think the picture was taken at the church at 2930 Colerain Avenue. I've sat on one of those chairs and preached from that pulpit as a young man. When I was there Bro. Curts had white hair.

Re: Some "older" pictures
Don't you know they put a lot of time and effort into making those
charts? I sort of miss things like that.
btw....good to see you back around here Bro Sam. I had noticed
your absence a while back and had asked about you.
You've sure shared alot of very informative things here on this forum.
God bless you sir!

I was spending "too much" time here and on Facebook and another forum. I had to cut back. Now I'm gradually getting back to spending too much time with this computer in front of me. I'll probably have to cut back on computer time for my own (spiritual) good.
So, if you don't see me around it's not because I'm offended --just need to cut back and prioritize time better......

Re: Some "older" pictures
I was not around for most of those charts, although they do look like they would be very interesting.

I fully understand the need to prioritize time better!
It's something I also need to do myself.

Re: Some "older" pictures
When I first came into pentecost, I went to church with one of C.P. Kilgore's grandsons. He once showed me one of the cloth charts that Bro. Kilgore had used.

Re: Some "older" pictures
That's how they conducted a Bible Study in "the good old days".
I must say, I miss it!

Brother Norris had a large chart hanging in his class room. One minister (don't remember the name) photographed it and used a slide projector to display it so he could teach from it in his church.
