Please pray for us!!
good evening saints.
before anything, i want to thank God for leading me to this forum. A forum with like faith and belief in Jesus. Believers that know that there is nothing impossible for God, and intercessors. I have read some postings and know that it was God alone that lead me here.. this has been an answer to prayer.
Let me introduce myself. I am a new pastor's wife, starting a new ministry that has been under attack by the enemy since we started. We decided to be released from our church and pursue the ministry that God had been very clear and loud for over two years and we were afraid to be in disobedient to our pastor. Our pastor kept on postponing us in going on and pursuing, sabotaging every step to that we were doing and we felt we needed to be loyal to him. Towards the end of our stay, we were literally pushed out of every ministry and and every time we suggested something he would tell us it wasnt the time, but then go ahead and place someone else who was not even a licensed minister to do the task. We felt rejected and alone and could not talk to anyone about this. I think he felt jealousy because we had a loving relationship with the saints, opened our home, had fellowship dinners every Sunday with different families, ministered to them when they called because they could not reach our pastor. We can honestly tell you that we did this to serve our pastor in an assistant capacity, knowing that he held a full time secular job and was not available. In the beginning he was greatful that we were helping, but then as time went on, his attitude changed with us. He would get angry at us for no reason, at times bring false accusation about us. Our son lead worship for him, and brought such negative accusations about him, had him step down from the worship team 3 times. My son was devastated, because this was a pastor he loved, and although he was only 19 at the time, he was hurt none the less.
We only seek out to this community, not to bad talk our pastor, but to seek advise. we do not have a covering, because after he promised to be with us, he has not returned any of our calls, text or emails. We have been sole surviving for 8 months. we have been able to incorporate our little church, next will be the 501 3c for non tax status. We want to continuing being UPC but how do we explain all this to the district? The last time we went, we wanted to seek their advice when my husband went for his ordination, but before we were able to say anything, they knew of the ministry we were starting and asked why we were taking people from our church, so we realized that someone must have called ahead and we knew then that my husband would not be ordained, and so it was. (As God our witness we hadn't. We were very careful not to make a move because we knew that our move would divide the church.)
So my question being, what do we do next? Our church is going forth, we are working diligently with this community. we are having revival in this small community and every Sunday, we are more and more convinced that God placed us there to continue the work that should have been started a while ago.
Help us in praying for us, and maybe giving us some advice ..thank you.

Will pray that God will lead and guide you, and we know that He is faithful. We have a diverse group of posters here, some may have been through what y'all are going through. I hope some will be able to give you advice on how to proceed.

Make sure you are working to build HIS kingdom and not yours.
Joseph was sold out, shipped out, falsely accused, arrested and imprisoned. His own family hated him...
He never let bitterness or resentment eat at his heart.
He never became a victim... or had self pity
He remained faithful to God and faithful to the duties he was assigned both in Potifar's house and in prison. When he was forgotten by the butler, he still kept doing what was right.
A level of integrity and ethics that God trusted him the save a nation... we should strive to be above board in all areas of our life.
Think about this, he never ask for an apology or sought restitution.
Twenty years of his life was gone... for no reason other than hatred. He did not have to be vindicated. No one had to say "o.k. Joseph you were right, you are spiritual and you have heard from God"
Joseph did the right thing and forgave with no attachments.
He just kept doing the right thing and that was building God's kingdom not his.
The kingdom of God was more important his feelings.
Be a man of character and do things ethical.
God will bless...

Re: Please pray for us!!
i hope i did not come across as being bitter or resentful, because i truly am not. I just needed advice on how to pursue our newly formed ministry under UPC when there is no covering. We were left alone to fend for ourselves after promises were made but jealousies and anger took over that til this day we do not understand what tornado hit us at 180 miles an hour. We understand that ministry is lonely, painful and hard and we are up for the task. We are and have done things ethical. Thank you for your advice

The king of Egypt most likely had no idea that Joseph even had a family until the brothers showed up wanting some food (gen 45:16)
9 years after he got out of prison.
Joseph never dropped his dirty laundry off at the kings house.
He knew that God was in control, and God would work it out to his good because he loved God.
It is o.k. to be bitter, resentful hurt... its apart of our makeup.
It's wrong to justify these feeling and these actions. You can always find a supporter to help you feel better about yourself by tell them your sad story...
The heart is wicked, who can know it... search me oh God and see if there be any wicked way in me...
Can you honestly say you have not done anything wrong toward your pastor?
I am speaking from experience so I do know what your going through. Again my experience is not important, building His kingdom is important. I had a lot of learning to do. Lot of problems I caused because I fail to let God have it
Your original post could have been shorter.
Example: God is leading me to start a church need some advise on how to get started. Pray for us that we stay in the mind and will of God. Want to see people saved.

onfire - please understand that there are all types of people who post on AFF. Some are sympathetic, some will be critical. Some are Oneness Pentecostals, others are ex Pentecostals. You will need discerment to glean usefull information from the responses you may get.

Amanah, I see that. Thus is the same self righteous response I have been trying to avoid. I did not realize that there were other posters so I will be more discerning.

Onfire: I apologize for the offence... That was not my intentions. I am not good articulating my thoughts on paper (ipad)
I pray God will bless your church, and give you a mighty revival. If you stay in the will of God everything will be fine.
When you pray... Pray for me
Have mercy on me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness, according to thy multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions
Create in me a clean heart O God and renew a right spirit in me
