I understand what your saying Randy. Let me clarify. Don't let Satan discourage you. He will use any means possible to cause us to lose our faith, and that can include an abusive spiritual leader. This is quite clear in the Bible, Jeremiah ch. 23, Ezekiel 34, Matthew 23, amongst a ton of other places.

Thus if the danger of the "obey THEM!" clause which supersedes all other rules or laws. It is the catch all which even overrules the scripture about adding too, or taking away, from the Word of God.

Yes. An abuse of scripture which gives someone a false carte blanche authority. Which is why we must know the Word for ourselves. Alot of people think they know the Word, but I've found out the hard way over the years, there is a big difference in knowing the scriptures about your doctrine and actually knowing the scripture. HUGE DIFFERENCE.
