Not me!
I've lived my entire life with a sense of dread - and something always happens, too!

Re: A Sense of Dread

I have been feeling that way off and on for maybe 6 weeks or so, I was not sure what I was feeling or why,This morning it was intense. Kind of like waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Just thought I would ask...
I told my wife on Sunday on the way to church that something doesn't feel right. Like something big was going to happen and not good.

You can tell your wife that your feelings were correct. I got the flu going on big time -and it started Monday!

Re: A Sense of Dread

So how if we wait and wait and wait and nothing happens... how long till we know it was a false "sense of dread" alarm?

Many times, it is simply a personal call to pray, so pray.
Or maybe, it is the trillions in national debt that is threatening the greatest nation on the face of the earth?? Not, kidding!!!

I do not believe there is a statue of limitations on a sense of dread (or prophesy in church). If one has such a sense and something bad happens 20 years later -to you, a family member, any number of people anywhere in the world, you could say that your sense of dread was justified.

Goodness!!!

I was so hoping that I was alone in this feeling. Apparently I'm not.

Trillion dollar debt? Good grief! I hope that's all there is to it.

A burden to pray is one thing. This sense that I have is another. I know the difference. Indeed, it is a call to prayer anyway. Don't think for a moment that so great an important function is neglected. Thanks for the reminder anyway.

Prayer has changed destined outcomes that never come to pass. It is possible that a tragic end can be averted by divine intervention.
