How Long?

How long until the UPC does away with holiness standards altogether now that TV advertising is allowed?

never...TV is not going to impact the movement one way or the other...advertising and programming on the radio hasn't....advertising and programming on the internet hasn't....using the other side of a Budwiser billboard hasn't...why does anyne think advertising on TVwould be any different?

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?

Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

Why won't it be the same as it is with the ALJC?

Does anyone realize how silly the 'fallout' due to the passing of the resolution must look to those people?

Exactly...they have allowed tv for years and they still look just as UPC as the UPC.....

I don't know T1. I think the approval of Res. #4 is a symptom of a shift in power. Those who disdain the standards or teach them as nefarious traditions ONLY have ascended to stronger position of influence. In my OPINION this faction WILL try to take other former positions of the UPCI toward a significantly more liberal position.

Holiness standards?! Realizing that holiness is a heart issue, anyone Spirit filled will never "do away" with holiness standards.

I know what you are asking, girl, and I apologize for taking that turn with it. It's just that I hate to the very bone the notion we have set that how I look is my holiness standard.

Okay...off my soapbox...re your honest question, I don't know, sis. Do you really think it will one day come to this?!
