Its my personal opinion based on interactions with a variety of people that most Americans "get it". There is a never-ending meme that " You are in the minority, most people support the status quo" but I don't believe it.

Unfortunately most Americans have not realized that yet.

Yet no GOP controlled Congress during the 8 years of Bush even broached the subject. Thus the States will have to do it.
