So recently...
A woman in my church cuts her hair to donate to a charity for children who have cancer and need wigs. 'Someone' snitched on her and told her she would not be able to teach Sunday school again unless she stood before the church. She refused and now attends another church. Of course, we got the fire and brimstone message of how cutting your hair is a sin and anyone who has cut their hair needs to go before the altar to repent.
Never mind the fact this woman has been a part of the church for over 20 years , gives generously and outside of that, pretty much follows all the holiness standards. Things like this make me sad. I'm trying. I'm really trying but I don't see myself at this church in the next few years.
