Saved Not Enough: Be An Apostolic Neo-Nazarite?

From the backcover of what is being dubbed as the must read Holiness book of the year by the Enseyite Illiterati ...

Quote:
Does Scripture actually address issues such as one's hair, apparel and jewelry? Can obedience to God's Word really be considered bondage? What is the true meaning of a legalist? Is it consistent theology to practice and loudly proclaim certain portions of the Bible and then willfully disregard others? Did God's people ever wear wedding rings or make-up in the Bible? If not, from where do these practices originate?

I can tell you before you even read the first page that unless you have the devoted heart of a Nazarite you'll discard this book about a quarter-ways through. However, if artificially and worldly materialism isn't for you, then take heart, because this books is!

--------------
If you're going to read only one book on holiness this year. Make it this one. Great gift for those who do not understand the Apostolic, biblical, doctrines of separation from the world.
Written by, Roger Perkins, the newest darling of the Ensey Apologist Groupthinktank .... Surely this book is not proposing that being saved is not enough but one must take a vow of separation to make it to heaven?

And do the those sillouhettes of men on the front cover have beards?

Cough, cough ... is this a rip-off Rob Bell's book title?

Does that mean when one of our women's "Nazerite Vow" is completed (which was for the Jews anyhow) she should shave her head bald as per scripture?

Does it also mean that grape juice or anything that grows on a vine is off limits?

Just some questions..

I was wondering about the women shaving her head bald as well.

How can a woman cutting her hair be a sin if God commands her to do it to fulfill a vow?

The "silhouettes" appear to be John the Baptist baptizing Christ in the Jordan. This is really problematic for the "Ensey camp" on several levels. First of course are the beards. Ensey had published some articles and tracks back in the late 1980s and early 1990s declaring that "Jesus Had No Beard."

Next, this "baptism" appears to follow the traditional iconography of having John pouring water over our Lord's head. The Bible itself is unclear on this matter, however.

... and! Given the fact that the title appears to come from Numbers 6:2, it's hard to say who "ripped off" whom.

Can it be sin for a woman to cut her hair if the vow requires her to stop cutting it and let it grow for a designated period of time, then shave it off and offer it by fire, and then go back to the normal cutting of it, just like a man?

Did God's people ever wear blue jeans in the Bible? If not, from where do these practices originate?

Did God's men ever shave their faces in the Bible? If not, from where do these practices originate?

Did God's people ever wear high-heeled shoes in the Bible? If not, from where do these practices originate?

Did God's people ever drive cars in the Bible? If not, from where do these practices originate?

This could go on and on.

That's my point!

It doesn't make sense now that we are no longer under the law of Moses which consisted of many outward rules and regulations to have a new outward regulation which was never a rule under the law of Moses.
