I love West Virginia Hot Dogs the best!

I was born in Montgomery, WV. I love a good WV hot dog

A true West Virginia hot dog is a heavenly creation that begins with a wiener on a bun. Add mustard, a chili-like sauce and top it off with coleslaw and chopped onions and you have a symphony of taste that quite possibly is the reason that many transplanted West Virginians can never really be happy living anywhere else. Different parts of West Virginia have variations on the theme but the common elements are sweet, creamy coleslaw and chili. Anything else is just not a true West Virginia hot dog!

i dont care where they are from, but for me just bread, dog, mustard and onions is the perfect combo.

I only eat hot dogs as a last resort, when we are out of bologna. When you are out of bologna you're out of groceries as my kids use to say. But when I eat a hot dog mustard, dog, and bun, or white bread. And I only eat bologna about once or twice a year.......lol

Dont get me wrong, given the oppurtunity, I would certainly try the WV version! sounds good too.

chili dogs are good.


sour kraut on a dog is yummy(but you still have to have mustard and onion)


but you can really ruin a dog with ketchup!
