Are we sure Trayvon wasn't doing something suspicious? Zimmerman admitted to the shooting, but do we know if he had a reason to be so suspicious of Martin? It seems the mad rush of our media was to immediately paint Zimmerman as racist, paranoid and crazy.

I am MORE OUTRAGED over the story out of Kansas City where a 13 yr old White boy was followed home, assaulted and LIT ON FIRE by two BLACK boys who were reported as saying "this is what you deserve white boy". Yet this gets NO NATIONAL media attention. No access on "Inside Edition". No lawyers on TV press conferences. No celebrity support. No Facebook flooding. It has been ignored or buried for over two weeks, and now the sheriff there REFUSES to acknowledge that it was a hate crime!

if it had been two whites lighting a black 13 yr old on fire we would NOT BE able to turn on a tv without seeing Jesse Jackson or Rev Al calling for everything but riots.

After reading some of these posts, all I can say is that I am convinced that it is next to impossible to hardly know anyone here on AFF.

OOPS! There WAS a witness and his testimony is in the police file.

ORLANDO - A witness we haven't heard from before paints a much different picture than we've seen so far of what happened the night 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed.

The night of that shooting, police say there was a witness who saw it all.
His statements to police were instrumental, because police backed up Zimmerman's claims, saying those screams on the 911 call are those of Zimmerman.
"The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: 'help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911," he said.

Trayvon Martin was in a hoodie; Zimmerman was in red.

That case goes out the window with this testimony. At this point it doesn't matter who threw the first punch. Zimmerman could have threatened to kill the boys mama, but the witness saw Zimmerman on the ground. So, whether or not it was, it was self-defense as far as the law will be concerned, and it should be. Sometimes justice sucks but as far of the law is concerned it is still just.

I guess we shouldn't put to much stock in witnesses in this case:

Everybody has a different story.

Re: Anger + Sadness = RAGE

Which witness had their story supposedly changed by the narcotics officer?

I think this is the only witness claiming to have seen the actual attack before the shooting. It sounds like the police considered him a credible witness whose story collaborated the physical evidence they saw on Zimmerman.

One thing I've learn from the Duke acrosse case was dont make quick judgements, to wait things out, especially when race involved.
