You must try harder and convince folks that you have the truth. Not just write-off folks that you dont agree with. They are valuable to the Lord. The Lord put you here for that reason brother.

Speaking as a former AoG minister who is now Oneness, you make a big mistake trying to "evangelize" someone who has the Holy Ghost. That approach was a total turn off to me and it was a Oneness pastor who treated me as an equal brother that peaked my curiosity and drove me to study out the issues that divided us.

Also, I think you guys are taking that verse in James way out of context. The "erring from the truth" here is obviously referring to sin, not doctrinal incompletion, since is speaks of converting sinners. This is referring to restoring backsliders. One is not a "sinner" if he has the Holy Ghost but has an incomplete revelation on the Godhead. In fact ,according to Paul if they have the Holy Ghost then "the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made them free from the law of sin and death."

So tell me what words have I put into your mouths? Do you, Steve Epley, and AR pastor affirm that those who have "experienced/obeyed" Acts 2:38 are saved even if they do not abide by holiness standards and/or are preterists?

Do you, SE, and AR believe someone like me is saved because I have repented, been baptized in JN, and spoken in tongues (and kept standards for years) but don't see all of these things as necessary for salvation? I know AR pastor has already called me a reprobate which us pretty serious because when someone is reprobate there is absolutely no hope of salvation for them. I know SE thinks I'm lost as two boys kissing ( though I'm not a trinitarian) and I'm if your JRE you have likewise condemned me strongly on AMF and in private correspondences.

Sad. Jim Yohe ADVISED folks to get a screen name, so most of us did. NOTHING to hid, just a internet option. It seems like to me that you really must have a problem with "evil surmising". I'm not JRE and I just happen to like SOME of the things he posts on his blog.

You folks need to sit through a Bible class at a bonifide Apostolic church.

The posts speaks for itself. I'll just comment on the last line. Why sit through a Bible class at an Apostolic church? I sat in an Apostolic church for years, attended every camp meeting , youth rally, special service I could and did my share of preaching. Even went through over a years worth of personal Bible study with my pastor after my baptism (I was baptized the first day I attended a oneness church). I read the required books for licensing. I taught Into His Marvelous Light and Search for Truth (#2) several times in home bible studies.

Despite all if this I never heard expository preaching (didn't even know what it was until after I left the "apostolic" movement). Never heard Romans, Galatians, Ephesians (or any book, not even Jude) taught or explained. The totality of my exposure to solid Bible teaching and theology in over 2,000 services. It was either the basic "apostolic"distinctives (oneness, baptism, tongues, holiness standards) or a scripture taken out of context for an emotional reaction. After 10 years in the movement I realized that I couldn't even define grace. Yet this is typical of oneness pentecostals, even the "systematic theology" taught in UPC Bible colleges is bare bones and revolves around the distinctives of the movement. The theology is weak. The exegesis is weak. Why would anyone want to attend a Bible class at an Apostolic church by someone who doesn't even know basic hermeneutics?
