I guess he meant it when he said it was your Christmas gift!! Sheesh!

Oh, right. It would have to be hunter green or emerald. I have a wonderful emerald green turtleneck. The sleeves on the upper arm are not puffy but, the sleeve going from just below the elbow to the wrist is a tight ribbed band. I love it. I don't even know where I go it. I'll wear it forever until it falls apart. LOL!

Re: Worst Christmas Present?

We were doing an extended family "rob your neighbor" gift exchange a few years ago. My cousin and her BF were a bit different. My sister opened the gift she drew. A dog toy. None of the family owned a dog. The BF thought it was hilarious, but none of the rest of us did.

I'd have to say my worst gift ever had to be one of two things:
the "walking doll" that was about three feet tall and hard plastic. I was probably 11 or 12 and very unimpressed...
or the "wedding Bible" that I got when I was about 13... I was told that I could carry it down the aisle instead of a bouquet when I got married. That was over 20 years ago. I'm still not married. I still have the Bible, never really used, still in its original box. And if I ever do get married, I'd much rather have the bouquet!

That's not a good gift for a woman anyway, but it really wasn't since he was the one that had lost all my tools. He should have replaced, but not as a gift.

It hurt his feelings that I was upset, then I felt like a fool. At least he was thinking about what I needed.
Awww, he thought that would be exciting.

I would love to have my own tools. My husband keeps taking mine and putting them in the shop. I said, "Can't you keep ONE hammer and screwdriver in this house!!!!" He has enough in the shop already! Three drills! I'd like to have one cordless drill in the house!!!

Okay, got that off my chest.

Re: Worst Christmas Present?

One Christmas eve (gifts already bought and wrapped), my son asked my if I like Santana. I said "Eh, not my favorite." And that was that, until, you guessed it: I opened my gift from him: a Santana CD. I gushed, "Awesome! My second favorite band EVER!" We all had a good laugh.

I have a feeling you will use that Bible, somewhere, at the wedding!

Mine was wearing little kid pajamas if I remember right. Grandma was into dolls and gushed over it. I would have rather had jeans! And with our small (tiny) house, there was nowhere to put it when we got home. Years later my parents found it when they were cleaning the basement for a yard sale. Mom called and asked if I'd mind if they sold it, and I didn't hesitate. Dad found it in the sale pile and paid me a couple dollars for it, so it's still in the basement today!

Oh, your Dad was precious!!

I remember getting an awesome dump truck when I was in elementary school. I loved it! LOL! My mother never allowed us to have a Barbie. She didn't like them being so revealing when they were neekid! LOL! What a great Catholic woman! LOL!
