Re: What would you do in this case?

I'd like to hear some of your preaching, Bro Phelps. So, you no longer pastor, are you still preaching?

Re: What would you do in this case?

I think I read somewhere that lying is still a sin, as a mtter of fact it's one of the things the Lord hates. Send a note to the brother pointing out the error of his ways and the passge from Proverbs 6:16 - 19.

Today I logged onto EA, and was scanning the front page. I was quite surprised to see one of my sermon titles listed on the right side of the page, and I thought, "Hmm, maybe someone posted it from the other website".

Well, I clicked on it, and it was my message - word for word, but another preacher had taken credit for it!

Now, I don't mind telling you, I was a bit miffed. But, should I have been? I never copywrited the message, so maybe I really can't complain.

What are your thoughts on this issue?
First of all, I think plagairism is wrong because it robs the author of his hard work and studies. I'm sorry that someone has taken credit for your work; however, God knows the truth and someone is getting blessed by the sermon. God used you even if another preacher was dishonest by claiming that it was his. (sad that a preacher would do that)

First of all it might do to contact the preacher that it is attributed to. It may not be HIS doing, someone may have jumbled things up and it got poted that way. On this forum I was pretty surprised to see one of MY posts duplicated word for word, nothing added nothing subtracted, but under the name of another poster. A mistake ? Probably, PErhaps, who knows. But if it was a sermon I had worked on and developed, I would most definitely contact said minister first and if I didnt get a satisfactory response I would then contact the group or site that it was posted on.

That is a way of helping our brethren develop a little more nderstanding of ethics.

I'm a member there, maybe I'll call his hand on it.

Two points:
1. The guy needs a lesson on honesty.
2. Imitation is the best form of flattery. Your message lives on.

Re: What would you do in this case?

that's just WRONG....

wonder how they get around the whole "annointing" thing....or getting in tune with God.....

I always thought ministers prayed about what they should teach/preach first...and let GOD take it from there.....

silly me
