Name calling and verbal insults are a tactic used to bully and discourage investigation and inquery. We see in in union tactics, political extremist tactics and a large variety of places.

In fact, you are doing what the Clintons did. They hastled, demonised and attacked Bill Clintons girlfriends. They immediately smeared the women.

The church of Scientology also uses public shame and embarssment smear attacks to get people to back off investigation.

I can name 3 policies that tie back to his behavior of non cooperation on his bc.

Had he been forced by a strong judge to make an appearance to show the real source documents, would he have been broken of stubborness.

Obama has a court order that stated his drilling ban is illegal He ignores that because he got by with his BC
Obama has a court order declaring the Obamacare bill unconstitutional all or in part He is ignoring that ruling because he has avoided legal compliance in the past
Obama fired an Inspector general in SF because the Inspector found Obama's friend cheating on money. Obama refused to cooperate with the law on how Inspectors general are assigned or terminated. He did it over night , ignored the law because he can.

Just last night, my roommates and I got into a heated discussion over the disrespect and humiliation that Bush endured with the release of the movie, "W" and the U.S. Senator from SC that called Obama a liar during the SOTU address.

It was very heated.

I have defended Bush on AFF, just as I have criticized Obama on AFF.

Some things, just like some people never change. You can tell their motivations by their actions and the context in which people do what people do.

If you would like to suggest that we can't tell when a person is being hateful by examining their actions, then you are wrong.


Again, I apologize. I could have sworn that we were in a dialogue and I thought that post was part of our dialogue.

The people who are stirring the pot so to speak on a national level over this stupid accusation are not Christian. Howeever, there are Christians who are deceived into believing that there is a possibility that President Obama was not born in America.

I addressed you because we were in a conversation. I messed up. I'll be more careful next time.

GWB had 8 years to earn the level of hate he had to endure-- in LARGE part to his wicked advisors who lied to him.

I personally believe that GWB was let down by a lot of people and since he was the President, the buck stopped with him-- as it should.

There was some validity for some of the disdain that people had for him, but the burning of the effigy of the man was beyond overboard.

Still, his American identity was never questioned.

The reason we are discussing the birther issue is because there are people who are motivated by hate for the man (whether it be for his ideas or his skin color or whatever irrational reason they can come up with).

These are the people that are giving credence to the groundless suspicions and encouraging hate.

Three years ago, this could have been part of a civil discourse within the political world. When he addressed the issue, it should have been put to rest then. Unfortunately, it wasn't.

I don't think people should be called hysterical and wacko, because something as serious as the president of this country is under question. If you and others believe he is legit, I think that is great, you can enjoy that peace. However, I know a LOT of people that do NOT believe the reports the Dems are giving of him being legit.
