Yesterday during our morning AM service, we had a time of prayer about election for President and the Prop. 8 here in California. As we prayed, we had a prophetic word about darkness coming to our land, but that God desired the Church to be a lighthouse and to shine, and many would see the light and come to the knowledge of the Lord.
I am not sure what others are experiencing, but there is a definite change in the spiritual climate of our country. But God's work and ministry will prevail.
Keith...I'm curious...
Was this a tongues and interpretation message, or was it a straight prophetic word delivered in English?

Why would you wish bad upon someone just because you dont like who they vote for? That's kinda grotesque.
I know several good Christians who will be voting for Obama. I dont agree with their choice... but that doesn't make them bad people, and I don't think the need to suffer for their decision to vote for him.

Daniel 12:3 And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars for ever.
I just stated that I heard a preacher make that statement and that may be what takes place in America. the folks that want Obama may get him and then wished they had not voted for him
So people like me and most of the others on this forum, chose the one who we considered the lesser of the two evils and God neither blessed it or favored it. Unless you call the greatest economic crisis since the great Depression and 4500 U.S. soliders killed the blessing and favor of God.
Now you're hoping and suggesting people go vote for the "lesser of evils" again, when it didn't work out so good in 2000 or 2004.

If you was voting on economics alone, then I say fine, that's your perogative. However, there are serious moral and spiritual things that are at stake for America and we are at a crossroads
Economics is not moral???????

I voted for GWB in 2000, and I definitely see the error of my ways and have regretted that greatly. The election of GWB certainly hasn't brought the favor or blessing of God upon this country.
Elections don't bring the blessing and favor of God. That has to come through our churches spreading the truth of the Gospel and people being moved by the Spirit of God to repetenance. The recipes never changed.
Amen!
What most of the right wing ministers don't realize is that it's their unholy marriage with politics is what's destroying this nation. On election day...the R-N-C is G-O-D for most Christians in America. The candidate becomes the savior. Bros...that's idolatry. I'm voing my conscience after reviewing policies and crunching numbers....and I'm holding my nose and voting Obama. Not because he's a Messiah and America will be blessed if he wins (like Republican Christians think about their candidate), but because the policies are far better for the average American family.

The democrats have the same messianic vision.......

Here's the issue StMark...if you place a moral value on your vote and you vote for the lesser of two evils...you still voted for evil.
Ask yourself, who would Jesus vote for, Nero or Caligula? Answer: neither. Jesus wouldn't vote. He'd be out preaching on the mountain side on election day.

And you agreed. I don't agree. I don't think God gives us what we want and then makes sure we suffer for it ("... beat the hell out of you with it").
