Exactly! And Ted Cruz was scheduled to visit her this afternoon. He has interviewed quite a few people who have been persecuted for their faith. It was one of the main points of his religious liberty rally in Iowa. Loved his interview with the Odgaards.

Exactly. I don't see how she'll stay out very long as it is. IMO, this was a temporary fix to try and thwart the rally today. If she's serious about not allowing her signature on the licenses, then I would think she'll direct her deputies to again stop issuing licenses today.

She already tried to take care of this on her end before the SCOTUS ruling came down, but was ignored. Perhaps they will uphold her initial request.

2. Before the U.S. Supreme Court issued its opinion in Obergefell on June 26, 2015, 57 clerks, including Davis, wrote a letter to Kentucky legislators during the regular session, pleading with them to “get a bill on the floor to help protect clerks” who had a religious objection to authorizing the licenses. The Kentucky Clerks Association also recommend that the names of clerks be removed from the forms.

The KY Legislative leaders filed a brief with Judge Bunning, asking he allow accomodation until the legislature was able to get back in session in January. Bunning ignored their request and put her in jail anyway. They have a bill ready to vote and pass, unfortunately, they just have to wait to get back in session.

I know a few people who said they were traveling their today to be part of the rally today. Good to see such a large crowd!
