One Less Anti-TV vote? WD Presybter leaves UPC?

I heard a presbyter called a section BOSS yesterday.


Bottom line:
TV will pass in the UPC.
If not this year then in the next 5 years.
Come on, they have brought it up for what, the last 3 years????

It seems to me like Jezebel has tired her head and the "men" are running to her

It will eventually pass. I am skeptical it will pass this year. The cons are savvy, willing to spend momey to promote their agenda, and they politic and network to create a formidable voting bloc.

You are right they will use money to promote their agendas. But they will not spend a buck on a commercial or add to promote God's agenda, that is horrible. I can not tell you how big of a deal that the cons are making it. IF the tv thing passes there could be an easier way to do the advertising. The cons can do set it up through headquaters where all of those churches can run a basic add on tv for their church. At the end of the commercial there could be a number that they call for the closest UPCI church. But that commerical could be done across the board for the cons(headquartes approved). But the ones that accually want on tv let them go do their own thing. The LDS church has many different commercials for their churches. Let the UPC do something like that. In all the UPCI church markets run that basic add, then let the Libs do it via broadcasts etc. I am a Lib!

I have no vote to cast, but that does not keep me from giving my opinion. I am not in the UPC anymore.

No, I am a realist. I realize unless your able to vote, and you go vote, nothing is accomplished on your venting on how you feel wronged by a system you have no control over.

It it is as pointless as complaining about food shortages in Former Soviet countries.

That is because you are not looking with an open mind to what God is bringing us too. Do you honestly think that an organization like the UPCI that has touted for years that they are spiritual and would only put spiritual people in leadership roles would let the devil creep in and try to get people to vote on a thing like tv?

If you think that then you are crazy. The organization will not crumble because of this, unless people allow it too. Read Chester Wright's letter. While some of it I question the overwhelming part of it is dead on. He says that the tv is not the problem it is the unity. Unity has to happen before revival, period. If the manual is correct, as it should be, reach the lost by any means possible and tv is possible then why not.

Did you read my post earlier about how the UPCI can produce and make commercials much like the bapitst and mormons use that are basic but says alot about the UPC? If they did that then the ulta cons would be happy because it is not they will not feel outcast from doing this. The ones that want on tv could be on tv, but if they get wacky remove them from fellowship. It is simple. If you live in an area where there is a MensWearhouse the commercials will give a number to call and get the closest MensWearhouse to you. UPCI can do the same thing. Do it by zipcode or area code in the bigger towns. It is that easy. A commercial that covers everyone, but gives the ones that want to preach on tv the chance to do that. Simple!
