Re: How to worship your pastor

women pastors has nothing to do with it...I know a LOT of men pastors that are worshipped...I say balance has more to do with it than anything...a lot of unbalanced Jim Jones still around....

Re: How to worship your pastor

I learnt a lesson from my Portuguese teacher 45 years ago...She said, In the course of your life as a missionary some Brazilians will do you wrong, take advantage of your kindness, take you for money, and all that comes with being a missionary but never forget there will be those that will love you enough to take from their meager living and give to you, there will be those that will love you and protect you...so in the course of life never make the mistake many missionaries make when some one does you wrong and use the expression in your anger...THESE BRAZILIANS.... do not class everyone in the same boat because of some personal experince...I took her advice...she continued and said always say...Jose..or Maria or whoever did me wrong and you will always have a host of "good ones" at your side to help you....DITO and FEITO....said and done....my life has been lived...yes I had a few bad experiences but I have never grouped them all together....like anything else there are good and bad...
If you do not believe in women pastores that is your stand but never say they are all just alike for that is NOT true....

No godly woman would ever thin of usurping authority over her husband....notice what the word means...usurp

u·surp [yoo-surp, -zurp] Show IPA
verb (used with object)
1.
to seize and hold (a position, office, power, etc.) by force or without legal right: The pretender tried to usurp the throne.
2.
to use without authority or right; employ wrongfully: The magazine usurped copyrighted material.
verb (used without object)
3.
to commit forcible or illegal seizure of an office, power, etc.; encroach.
Origin:
1275–1325; Middle English < Latin ūsūrpāre to take possession through use, equivalent to ūsū (ablative of ūsus use (noun)) + -rp-, reduced form of -rip-, combining form of rapere to seize + -āre infinitive ending

I am a woman missionary but I do not wrongfully use authority....My husband is not a whimp....He is a man of God, the Bishop of our work in Brazil....I respect him as such and work with him as Pricislla of old....

Thats awesome sister...I just would NEVER sit under a woman pastor because of that verse.(among other problems it can "feminize" the men of the church) It says what it says. But thats just me....
