Thought you

information.........
It
was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were playing an old news video of
Lt.Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan
Administration.
There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the
third degree, but what he said was stunning!
He was being drilled by a
senator; 'Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security
system?'
Ollie replied, 'Yes, I did, Sir.'
The senator
continued, trying to get a laugh out of the audience, 'Isn't that just a little
excessive?'
'No, sir,' continued Ollie.
'No? And why not?' the
senator asked.
'Because the lives of my family and I were threatened,
sir.'
'Threatened? By whom?' the senator questioned.
'By a
terrorist, sir' Ollie answered.
'Terrorist? What terrorist could
possibly scare you that much?'
'His name is Osama bin Laden, sir' Ollie
replied.
At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but
couldn't pronounce it, which most people back then probably couldn't. A couple
of people laughed at the attempt. Then the senator continued. Why are you so
afraid of this man?' the senator asked.
'Because, sir, he is the most
evil person alive that I know of', Ollie answered.
'And
what do you recommend we do about him?' asked the senator.
'Well, sir,
if it was up to me, I would recommend that an assassin team be formed to
eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth.'
The senator
disagreed with this approach, and that was all that was shown of the clip.
By
the way, that senator was Al Gore!

Terrorist
pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in Israel
in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the
O slo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993,
Israel had to agree to release
so-called 'political prisoners.'
However, the Israelis would not release
any with blood on their hands, The American President at the time, Bill Clinton,
and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, 'insisted' that all prisoners be
released.
Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually thanked us by
flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade
Center .. This was reported
by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first
identified.
And this type of misinformation and straight out lies, is why I don't pledge strict allegiance to either Dems or Repubs.
I can tell you a true story that happened in August of 1998. Then embattled President Bill Clinton authorized launching approximately 75 cruise missles targeted at terrorist training camps and other terrorists related sites in Afghanistan. The action was widely praised around the world by countries like Britian, Germany and Israel.
Some very vocal dissenters were, strangely enough, Republican congressman and senators who claimed that it was just a distraction from the Lewinsky scandal. Many even compared it to a popular movie at the time, "Wag the Dog".

Officials later acknowledged, however, "that the evidence that prompted President Clinton to order the missile strike on the Shifa plant was not as solid as first portrayed. Indeed, officials later said that there was no proof that the plant had been manufacturing or storing nerve gas, as initially suspected by the Americans, or had been linked to Osama bin Laden, who was a resident of Khartoum in the 1990s."[3]
it was an ASPRINE factory. and they knew it.
and one wonders why some republicans werent very pleased...

Ferd I agree the factory was bad intelligence very similiar to the type that instigated the Iraq war.
Let's not overlook the most pertinent information concerning 9/11 in that wiki article.
"About 75 cruise missiles landed in Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan at four militant training camps around Khost and Jalalabad: three camps in the Jarawah area near Khost, one of which, El Farouq, trained primarily Afghan Arabs, and Al Badr camp 10 miles to the west which also trained Afghan Arabs and was run by bin Laden.[7] The Khost camp, Zawhar Kili, was reportedly the scene of a meeting of "senior leaders of Islamic militant and terrorist groups linked to bin Laden," and was regarded by Pakistani intelligence as a "summit" convened by bin Laden.[8] Whether bin Laden would definitely attend was uncertain to the Americans, but the attack was made partly in hopes that bin Laden would attend and be killed.[9] After the attack, the CIA heard that bin Laden had been at Zawhar Kili but had left some hours before the missiles hit."
Those were the training camps that trained hundreds of Al-quada fighters and some of the 9/11 hijackers visited. I thought it was something to be applauded and supportive of, instead folks like Oren Hatch decided to condemn it publicly.

When I worked for Lexis Nexis I had access to CIS, all news and legal records. Up until that time I was really big on Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Well, I'll tell you this much....I'll never trust them again.
It's not just emails. There is a very organized effort to produce misinformation throughout the United States Political system. And here's the deal...one party does it more than the other, but both do it. The political establishment as it exists today is so corrupt and deceptive a case can be made that a vote for either of the two primary parties is a betrayal of American faith and values.
Always? You guys? Are you suggesting that I'm "always" duped? Are you also suggesting that I'm a plurality by inferring "you GUYS"? Could you elaborate a little more?

"You guys", in the sense of those who are Neo-Conservative Zealots. It may or may not directly apply to you bro.
!Why you should never vote Republican! They always seem to go off half-cocked without checking their facts. At least they didn't do that with regards to those WMDs. Oh wait...
I love making broad, sweeping generalizations. It's fun.
