I became irate with her a few minutes ago and told her she might kill herself, and she needs to recommit her life to God.
After I hung up with her I received a call within 20 minutes, my mother while on medications, she had consumed two alcoholic beverages. She just crashed a few minutes ago and struck 5 vehicles. Her car was totaled, her seat belt didn't even work, and her face was bloody.
It is a pure miracle of God that she's alive. They arrested her and transported her to the hospital. Today my mother is 54 years of age, and this is her first run-in with any law enforcement agency.
I ask that you pray for Veronica, that she gives her life back to God, and also my father, Ralph.
I know that I'm not well liked here, and if this petition is much for some of you, pray for your parents.
Close your eyes and envision your parents in Hell, if that doesn't give you a burden, my friend, nothing will.
I'm hoping they just cite her a release her instead of going through the booking process.
God Bless.

1Cor2v4,
If your mom is just 54 you are a much younger man than I thought. I will be praying for your mom. I have been in a similar situation to what you are in.
My mom married my dad at age 16 (he was 26) and was married for 26 years before he was killed in a tragic accident. She was driving behind him and saw the whole thing. She was very traumatized. She was left at age 42 with a 13 year old son to raise and had been married since she was basicly a kid herself.
Although she said all of the right things to me to make me not hold anything against God she did. After a few years she stopped going to church (although she insisted I go and I wanted to).
Mom was probably out of church for 15 years or so and I prayed for her all of the time. In her case she was not drinking or somoking but never the less she was not serving God.
In Gods time (and her time) her heart became tender again and a wonderful man of God who had come to pastor a church in her area reached out to her in love and she made things right with God.
It was only a few short years after that she had this terrible stroke that has left her almost completely paralyzed, tube fed, and unable to speak. I am so glad she has the comfort of the Holy Ghost during this time of suffering and the promise of eternal life when the struggle is over.
I said all that to say I not only sympathyze with you I empathyze with you and will add your mom to my prayer list. I know it is frustrating that living for God is not something we can make our loved ones do, that we have to just pray for God to continue to work with them until they accept his calling.
God Bless

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

1Cor.... You have been around these parts for a while Even if you arent who I say you are you are at least a former lurker or poster... and even though people may not agree with you and may fight to high heaven with you ....The one thing you may not know but I want to make sure it is brought to your attention... No matter who agrees or not likes you or not... when it comes to prayer you can unite this group faster than anything ...we love to pray for one another... and we stick closer than family sometimes in need of prayer... you are covered Bro!

Re: Please Pray For My Parents, And Yours.
1Cor2v4, This thread has not gotten alot of mileage.
Please know I will pray that your mother come to her senses and be a better example for her family.

Re: Please Pray For My Parents, And Yours.
Praying for you and your Mom and Dad. My Mom has been gone since I was a teenager but she did leave a legacy of faith and being a prayer warrior! Brother, prayer works.

Lord I pray for his parents-- give them a sense of eternity and a fire in their hearts for you. Bless them with a longer life with health and wealth that lasts the length of their days. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Re: Please Pray For My Parents, And Yours.
I just saw this, I don't know where it was earlier, but I will definitely be praying. I am so thankful and blessed to have parents who love and serve God!
