Stew, I remember the conversation and I remember you saying that!
Ryan is one of the smartest guys in the Republican party.
He just needs to do something other than be a house member if he wants to be president.
BUT it is a new age and he looks good on TV so he might have a chance anyway.
I think he may have a better chance of appealing to the relatively younger moderate to conservative demographic that the party is not attracting nor exciting. However, the sad reality is that if he is going to go through the current political machine, he'll likely have to play ball like everyone else.
