I can't help it if people are willing to buy into Catholic lies and are unwilling to study things for themselves. You call it a NON-answer and I say that studying the issue is key to understanding the truth behind Christmas and how there is no possible way God is pleased with His people participating in this unholiest of days.

And I've just asked for some scripture indicating that God is displeased with us celebrating the birth of a Savior, and still haven't seen any.

When I was younger we did ZERO not even the dinner or after season gifts. Nothing-nada. But for years now we do as I denunciated. My reasoning being it cannot be wrong to gift a gift once a year? For years we had church on Xmas.

I like turkey and ham and something green wrapped up in a present if not green a gift card will do.

Why not shun meat offered to idols because we have a weak conscience? Paul said to shun it!

Quote:
1Co 8:4-8 KJV As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. (5) For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) (6) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. (7) Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. (8) But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
Have weak consciences? Then refrain from Christmas!

So if you do not have the knowledge Paul had, you better shun shun shun. Otherwise your weak conscience will be defiled.
