I don't know about others but I am getting sick and tired of being criticized for having an opinion. We were in, we're not anymore, and we have opinions. DEAL WITH IT. Or pray us into a car wreck if that is your perogative, nothing will happen anyway, but if it makes you feel better go for it.

They always know when they invite my wife and I cuz we Pennycostals just pray right over em', heeeeee! And sometimes lay on hands to when we feel led!!! Come on sumbody, uuuuh!!!!
We go to an Alliance Church now, where we are very comfortable doing the taking turns in a circle praying. But a few years ago, a bunch of us went to Women of Faith in Fort Wayne. On the way home, it started to storm. We looked out to our East and saw TWO TORNADOES!! Let me tell you, our circle prayer quickly turned into a Pentecostal Prayer Meeting! I was driving, but I couldn't stop laughing at these women who would never have considered praying in that fashion before. Listen to 'em now! LOL

Re: UPC Culture

Getting back to Pentecostal Culture - how about Youth Rallies?

Or the 6" rule at camp? (or was that only at Ohio Camp?)

There were definately some songs that were only sung in Pentecostal circles...........
"I See a Crimson Stream of Blood"

I remember Sis Kinzie never sang, "At that meeting in the air". She always sang out loud and clear, "At that APOSTOLIC meeting in the air!"

First of all, I wasn't criticizing. I was voicing an OPINION just like you and everyone else on a PUBLIC forum.

Perhaps you should heed your own advise. DEAL WITH IT!

If it will make YOU feel better, why don't you just start a private "GOSSIP ABOUT THE UPC" forum. Then you won't have to worry about UPCers exercising their right to voice their OPINIONS same as former UPCers do.

Truly amazing...
