In reading some of these threads I am struck by some of the sayings and slangs that I have grown up hearing and saying. I am sure that some of them are not common outside of the UPC culture, and I wonder just how much we current and former UPC members have been shaped by a common culture and heritage.
What got me thinking was when I read Renda write "us four and no more"...
Then you've got "Bro. _______ doesn't believe that fat meat is greasy", etc.
How much do you think that there is a common culture and identity regardless of what our differences are? It seems that some of them transcend our differences in race, age, and location.
Can you think of any more uniquely UPC sayings?

People who are more liberal than us have "Gone Charismatic".
Kind of like "gone fishing".
ANd, unfortunately, we don't understand the true meaning of the word Charismatic!
So, I'm quite sure it confuses some folks...........

If we spent a considerable length of time in the UPC we cannot help but be influenced. Almost any group is like that. Look at me. I'm against 95% of what the UPC stands for and I still keep coming back to this forum.
