Nope, this is what they were taught. If you don't complete the three steps eventually you will looses what God originally gave you. He was famous, if I said his name, most would know who he was.

Famously stupid or famously ignorant?

Somehow i missed this. Much of this has been discussed on other threads.

My concern is the revisionist history that the UPCI seems to condone.
I've stated it before, both of my parents were saved before 1945, and this indeed gave me a different outlook.

Just another curiousity....
I received the HG before I was baptized; I was raised in the UPCI.

As a teenager my husband received the HG before he was baptized and he had only gone to SS for a few months.

So we didn't actually receive the HG?

Who said you did not actually receive the HG?

  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.

Re: The Difference between PCI, PAJC and the New H

In the 10th chapter of Acts, verses 44-48, while Peter was preaching, the Holy Ghost
fell on all them that heard the word. Read on, for even though they received the Holy
Ghost, he still commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.

Re: The Difference between PCI, PAJC and the New H

If one receives the Holy Ghost, one will see the need for baptism in Jesus name for the remission of sins. If they refuse and reject it, I believe the Holy Ghost will depart from an individual, and they, from then on, may be more led of the influence of emotionalism than anything else.

Re: The Difference between PCI, PAJC and the New H

WHO does not believe Calvary's BLOOD forgives and remitts sins? All sin from Adam unto the judgment was forgiven at Calvary He died for all. However man must accept Christ's forgiveness purchased by His holy blood by obeying the gospel.
Jesus not the PAJC said "repentance and remission of sins MUST be preached in His Name BEGINNING a Jerusalem." Luke 24:47
And it was "Repent and be baptized EVERYONE of you in the Name of Jesus Christ FOR the remission of sins." Acts 2:38
Thus from Pentecost until the present the only way for the penitent to recieve remission of sins is by being baptized in Jesus Name.
A person who has NOT been baptized in Jesus Name has not accepted the pardon extented by and through faith in the blood that remits!
