I would like to see his SSN, as well as his birth certificate (real one-I'm not a birther, but I question the legitimacy of his birth since it has been such an issue), his educational records, his work history, etc.
The way he goes about such things causes me to believe there is something to SOME of the charges that have been thrown his way. I am sure there are things which are simply conspiracy theories, which are thrown at every president. But again, the secrecy Obama maintains on nearly everything breaks my trust in him.
Well, that and his outright dishonesty.
The question of his citizenship is only being brought up by fringe minorities. It is only a legitimate question in the same way that the moon landing conspiracy or the flat earth conspiracy is.
He hasn't really been anymore secretive than any other president.
As for his dishonesty, that is going to be a matter of opinion on both of our sides.

What I don't like is the selective and unfair way that private records are demanded to be made public for some officials, while others get to cover their tracks without ever being questioned.
Obama in all likelihood won the Senate seat because the popular Republican candidate was forced out of the race after having his divorce records unsealed by a California judge. http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/06/22/ryan.divorce/
Meanwhile, we can't even read Obama's graduate dissertations from college. These papers are almost always made public as a matter of course for all graduates.
I don't doubt the President's citizenship and the fact that his father was living in Connecticut when the SSN was issued makes that a no-brainer. What I can't accept, however, is the way Jack Ryan's privacy was violated to the benefit of Obama's career while so many details about Obama are kept squirreled away.
It's fundamentally unfair and it weakens the American system over all.

In all fairness, Obama didn't want Ryan's divorce records unsealed. It was several media organizations and Ryan's republican primary opponents that wanted them unsealed. He was already a good bit behind Obama in the polls before he dropped out as it was.
In regards to college records, it doesn't really matter. There is nothing in there that is going to change either sides mind. If Republicans really thought there was anything in them to help them, they would have found them and released them to the media long ago. If the media really thought there was a bombshell in there, they would have found them and released them long ago, just as they have in the past.
It's beyond the point that I care now. If no one has managed to prove or disprove his elligeability , then I very seriously doubt its going to be proved.
And if he was someone who believed like I do, I wouldn't care anyway.
I'd vote for a purple russian if he had values and simple logic (which works btw).

The California judge who released the Ryan records did so at the request of several media outlets, but it took a judge to give the order. Also, that was rather unprecedented - to release records that both parties (ex-husband and ex-wife) had specifically sought to keep sealed.
Almost all post graduate papers are available at the respective libraries of the degree granting institution. None of Barack Obama's papers are available anywhere. During the campaign and since, there have been many requests made to Harvard and the University of Chicago where he taught for copies of his published work. Nothing has been released.
And it's a shame really. He says that he holds to his mother's values in many ways. Her published work described the success of many free market types of innovations in the Third World such as micro-finance loans. Maybe a lot of people wouldn't be so paranoid if the President didn't appear to be so paranoid as well.

I agree that they shouldn't have been released, but them being released had little bearing on the race itself. Obama was already far in the lead before the issue ever came to the courts.
It was more of the media invoking that " the First Amendment rights of media organizations generally supercede the privacy rights of litigants", which the court agreed with. The judge presiding over the hearing said that "sealed court records relating to Illinois U.S. Senate candidate Jack Ryan's divorce should be made public to show there is no favoritism to the rich and the powerful."
As for the college records, give him some time. He has only been in office for a little over a year and has had a lot on his plate thus far. He'll have plenty of time over the next 7 years to release them.
You know, once they scrub all of the communist stuff out of them. lol
all i really want to know is who paid for his college....
really that one bothers me.
the birther stuff is worthless. dude is an American.
now this SS thing...well, I aint taking the word of some internet site for it but I would like to see more information.
According to snopes.com (an Internet site- http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslim.asp) the President's father was living in Connecticut at the time the SSN was issued when BHO was in his teens.
At this same time his mother was doing anthropological field work in Indonesia and BHO was living with his grandmother in Hawaii and attending High School there.
Since his mother was in Indonesia, it only makes sense that the burden for getting a SSN for Barack would have fallen on his natural father in the states. This would explain the apparent fact that BHO's SSN falls into a sequence associated with the state of Connecticut. The return address on the application would have been from CT.

very interesting and pretty clearly that does help explain this....
