In the women/pants/hell thread, SE gave this explanation of why certain abominations in the OT are still bad today, and some are now OK:

There are clear NT passages that make the eating of these meats proper there is NO passage that says unisex clothing is alright.
If it was an abomination UNTO GOD it still is.
This could cover the things mentioned as abominations (if it's correct), but what about the other laws? Not every forbidden thing is called an abomination, either to "you" or to "God". The Ten Commandments, for example, and "take no gift" (Exodus 23:8).
And is this way of classifying abominations a commonly held view of Apostolics? I have seen only SE espouse the idea, I think.
Any thoughts?

Frist, there was a discussion of meats the other day and I believe that God clearly dealt with this spicifically in Acts.
I believe the law per say applies. however, the punishments perscribed in the OT were paid in full on the cross.
we still need to understand that what was intended by the law, is accomplished in the Christian by Grace...which Titus tells us is a teacher, guiding us away from sin and to an overcoming life!

Deut 22:5 DOES NOT cover unisex clothing. It covers the abomination of homosexuality. Period.

Too bad this truth (above) isn't taught more often, rather than the untruth(s) that so often is taught.

None Timmy. Yep, you can cuss, steal, lie, cheat, blasphemy...sin all day and all night long without any thought about repentance...oh wait....Hmmm the bible does say in the NT we have to repent. I wonder what we are supposed to repent of?
Maybe SOME THINGS...in the law...are still sins today. I'll venture to guess that if the NT mentions it being wrong (and it was wrong in the OT), then it's still wrong

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
