Re: Hello I am in need of help

John, God is a loving God, not willing that any be lost. Kept, has given you good advice. At the Victory Center, isn't there an older, Godly man that you can talk to?
And I would still write that letter to God. While you are writing you might even see where you need to repent. God knows you better than anyone, and no doubt He is working in your life to cause you to cry out in your emotional pain. And if He is, then He is there to help you, because He loves you.

Re: Hello I am in need of help

Psalm 51

51 Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.

4 Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just when You speak
And blameless when You judge.

5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
6 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken may rejoice.

9 Hide Your face from my sins,
And blot out all my iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.

13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.

14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
The God of my salvation,
And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.

15 O Lord, open my lips,
And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.

16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.

Young man,

The Lord is not going to always send someone to speak into your life. It is almost rare that He does.

If you are a believer He has given you His Spirit and His Word to guide you.

NG - what a beautiful passage to share. John1, you could take this passage of scripture and pray with it. Will be praying for you that the Lord can use his Word to bring peace and healing to your heart.

Hello John 1:12-14 one thing that we should keep in mind is that one of the enemies traps to turn us aside is to get us to look at others. There is nothing wrong with being grieved overe the lack of godliness that seems to be invading the church world today but rather than allowing it to make us bitter allow it to drive you to your knees to pray for others. Rather than look around at what others are doing or not doing first get a set devotional time of prayer and bible reading established in your own life so as to have a sure footing for yourself and to enable you to help others. I am sorry for the things that have haapened in your past those are things that no one should have to live with and it is a burden that is really to heavey for you to bear alone but rather rebell against Christ look to Him as your source of strength:

Isaiah 53:
3 He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces from him;
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted

Psalms 103:

13 Like as a father pitieth his children,
so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.
14 For he knoweth our frame;
he remembereth that we are dust.

Psams 18:

16 He sent from above, he took me,
he drew me out of many waters.
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy,
and from them which hated me:
for they were too strong for me.
18 They prevented me in the day of my calamity:
but the Lord was my stay.

1 Peter 5:

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Those are passages that have helped me in hard times and i hope maybe they can be a help to you as well. Like others have already said you need to find an older in the faith man to help you and walk along side you. A good place to start would be the pastor of the church you attend.

John, Have you checked out the Fellowship Hall? There is some good teaching there as well as others that you have to sort thru and check it with the Word of God.

Re: Hello I am in need of help

I find it interesting that he mentions Victory Outreach. Knowing a little about V.O. (think- gang signs) I do not find it hard to believe that he considers himself to walk in the prophetic. V.O. has group homes for people recovering from drug/alcohol abuse, and if memory is correct, battered women.

I can't grasp living with parents that abused or allowed abuse... at the age of 20. The condemnation he displays would stem from sexual abuse.
