Fall Awakening - Holy Ghost time!

While we have been in CA, our youth had a conference at our church this weekend called "Fall Awakening" (Jackson, TN). We have a youth evangelist in our church named Chris Smith and he is an awesome preacher. Our youth pastor did the music and Chris preached the sessions. I talked to the youth guy this afternoon, and he couldn't quit talking about it.

He said he had never been drunk in the Holy Ghost before, but last night he was so drunk he couldn't walk at all. They had to carry him out. He said that there were so many kids filled with the Holy Ghost and slain all over the floor. He is not from a Pentecostal background, and he had NEVER seen anything like this. He is totally blown away. He said kids were RUNNING to the altar in repentance. It is all on video, so I can't wait to see it all. I'm really glad that my son Zac was home from college this weekend and got to take part in it!

This year has been a time of renewal for our teenagers. Until now, it has always seemed to be the weakest link in our church, but the past several months they have really come to a new place in God. It's awesome and I'm so thankful!
