If I'm not mistaken, the point of these stories (the ones on this thread, not all miracle stories) is that God will (or might) kill you if you mock Him or disrespect Him or disbelieve the people who claim to speak for Him. In other words, contrary to LadyChocolate's post, God is "out to get you". Toe the line, or else.
