To those going through trials
Way into the night I prayed and this morning I felt like the Lord spoke a song to my heart. As many of you know we have been so hard hit lately and we came suddenly to the states and 2-3 times we cancelled out churches where we had planned to preach to pay our fare due to my sister's deep need.
Last month Micheal's car was stolen. Chad's was wrecked (hit by a bandit running from the police) and then to top it off our son not on purpose run over a man on the church bus and the man died and our son was trying to help but does not have the right kind of driver's licence so we are worried sick over that...Neither Brother Alvear or myself have felt well. We have a person giving us lots of heartache and you that over see know the weight of church now imagine the weight of many church scattered thousands of miles apart...Sometimes the load gets heavy...Yet until He calls we will carry on. Many many things I could not put on a public forum however we ALL face many giants...
Brother Alvear is returning to Brazil Monday if possible to see about things but I must stay as I do a ladies meeting in Dayton, Ohio.
Pray for our pastors in Brazil many of them are facing many things right now.
YET in the mist of it all REPORTS of great victories have been sent to us, churches being built, people recieving the Holy Ghost and the new jungle work is growing. God is moving by His spirit. The devil hates light inhis dark kingdom. Our brothers are working on building more dorms behind our hearquarters church. In time we will bring young men from many areas of Brazil and teach them and send them out as national missionaries. The devil hates plans like these but we KNOW GOD is victor!
This is the song I woke up singing this morning:
He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials he multiplies peace.
When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.
His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.
