In late AD 49/early AD 50, there was a council in Jerusalem where the requirements of the Old Testament law were discussed. It was decided by the leaders of th early church how much of the OT law would be required under this new covenant. A letter was issued which covered these requirements. It is found in
Acts 15:22-29.
