I had a Church of Christ point out once that the writings were not direct quotes from the words spoken during baptisms in the bible. I will admit it does open a discussion on the importance on what the baptizer is saying and in the verse "calling on the name of the Lord" referring to the one getting baptized. Be nice to hear some opinions on this.
