No, Matthew, not this way you do not. Either we are saved by grace through faith, or we are saved by our works. One or the other, not both.

Bill, how many do you think were saved all those years under Roman Catholicism before Luther "rediscovered" salvation by grace through faith? Catholics were taught they were saved by works plus their faith. How many "billions" went to hell?
