The biggest threat of the Trump administration is his disdain for the First Amendment right of free speech and free press. The next biggest threat is not only a fault of Trump's administration, but also the GOP in general -- civil liberties are being tossed in favor of unfettered surveillance of American citizens. Trump's choice for AG and CIA Director are in favor of warrantless wiretaps, PRISM, indefinite detentions of American citizens without charges or a trial and civil asset forfeiture.
Trump's thin-skin and knee-jerk reactions will test your claim that he will keep us out of needless wars.

I believe Trump does not have disdain for either free speech or free press. I do believe that he dislikes the press and is irritated that they can say whatever they want regarding public figures and get away with it.
In that regard, I believe he wants to make the press more accountable and more like the press in England.
I am opposed to that and believe that members of his administration will be able to persuade him to leave well enough alone.
Insofar as to civil liberties, this is closely tied to immigration in my opinion.
The reason that we have had both parties favor curtailing these is due to the number of potential terrorists we have in our country.
I am convinced we are under far more scrutiny than we would even believe.
I am also convinced that this scrutiny has thwarted terrorist plans/plots.
If we will correct our immigration policy and enforce our laws by ejecting or refusing entry to possible terrorists, we will be able to rachet down the scrutiny and "restore" these civil liberties.

This isn't England. And it's not as though he's angry about the press lying about him. Have you done a search of Trump's past lawsuit threats? You should look it up sometime. His tweet about flag burning should be alarming. Trump is similar to obama with regards to press: they're useful idiots and he'll do what he can to go around them.

Have you tried putting toothpaste back inside the tube? That's what you're suggesting here. I wish it were that simple and we could trust our leaders to do this. Unfortunately, this will never happen. No Admin or Congress will willingly give up the power they now have over the citizens.

Oh yeah. No matter what I will humbly submit to the will of my master. Gotcha.
Typical NDavid. Irrational and presumptive.

But see you do not have a cult like bias to cloud your opinion. Thus you can come to some logical conclusions.

Re: the media...
Why do people still think "the media" is anything but a farce? I mean, they push more fake news than Before It's News or the Onion, they are in the tank for the "establishment" thus they are nothing less than enemy information ops and propaganda/psyop units, and they are about as exciting as a 70s era broadcast of Vremya.

Honestly, I'm opposed to the SCOTUS ruling that flag burning is protected under the first amendment. That is treasonous behavior, in my opinion. I don't know about losing citizenship, but it should definitely incur some penalty. And, to be fair to Trump, even Hillary proposed a similar ban in '05/'06.
Burn a Koran, you're accused of a hate crime. Burn the American flag, you're celebrated. What a crazy, mixed up world we live in today.

The biggest threat to America in its history is about to leave office January 20. We can only move forward from here.
