pine nuts...easy to find in a grocery store? do you buy them already prepared for pesto, or do you have to do something with them?

Pine nuts can be found in most grocery stores.

You need to combine (chop) them with the basil and olive oil to make pesto.

Look for recipes for pesto on line if you're looking to make it.

If not, buy it in a jar instead.

I thought Benedictine and Blue Nun were sanctified wines??? Mogan David???

I have all the other ingredents for pesto...

do you have to do anything to the pine nuts prior to adding them to the food processer? I think it calls for roased or something, pine nuts. Or are the pine nuts already "roasted" in the store. Are they with regular nuts?

They probably won't be roasted. You can do that in a saute' pan over med low heat. Keep 'em movin' if you do.


I find pine nuts with the salads at my local store. They're light in color, and look like longer pieces of shoepeg corn.
