In other words, the reason there's marriage of MAN AND WOMAN (notice this is under attack lately) is to illustrate the relationship between the Lord and His Church. Long before Christ came for His Church, the picture of Adam being alone and needing a mate portrayed the then-future work of the cross, with Adam's sleep and material from within his body taken to build the woman.
Something was likewise IN GOD and came forth and drove God to become one with HIS BRIDE.
Eph 1:3-4 KJV Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (4) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
IN GOD was the purpose of his counterpart/bride. That was before the world was made, let alone Adam and Eve.
No wonder the marriage picture is under attack. It's the greatest insult the devil could make against the very purpose of mankind foreshadowed by the marriage of man and woman!

Are you today Christ's Bride?

Yes, we have His name and we manifest his fruit into the world.
Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
But I as an individual am not the bride. Individually, we are sons and daughters. As a group called the church we are the bride now.
If we bring forth fruit in the sense of being married, then that says the lives we live that manifest His glory are the Children, so to speak, that are born. And children are not supposed to be born out of wedlock. Christ is not a fornicator. This means the marriage is a now thing.
Good issue you brought forth. What's that say about the marriage?

Tell us how you materially "manifest His Hlory." Try to remember that Saul wrote in 1 Cor. 4:20 that "The Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power." Therefore, merely chatting about things is not a demonstration of either Glory or Power. Tell us what you actually do to "manifest His Glory."
(Hint: review John 14:12 before answering.)

Re: God's eternal purpose
We just had a man miraculously healed of I believe it was five tumors. Doctors are still testing for more validation. Jesus is is working miracles. I have many things I could tell. All the glory belongs to God. Not to derail this thread good posts Bro. Blume

Here is what Jesus did, and that's my origin for the thought.
John 2:11 This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.
It's accomplishing things in the material world by the Spirit of God. Doing in this world what cannot be done without God working through us.

What exactly does that have to do with you and with this thread? All of the people healed by Jesus, The Apostles, The Early Church, and by any other miraculous means all have died from other diseases and maladies.
Physical health is not God's Eternal Purpose, and you telling stories about other people getting healed accomplishes nothing for God. If you think healing is so authentic today, go start healing diabetics, amputees, cancer victims, and congenitally malformed babies in the hospital nearest you. Is something stopping you from doing that? Yes? No?

Tell us what you have done in that manner. Otherwise, you have little or nothing to explain. "The Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power." 1 Cor. 4:20.

Bert and whatever other screen names you have come on here using ... your yes/no questions give you away every time.
Bert - why don't YOU tell US what YOU have done for the kingdom of God?
